)Q J)Q{p;h2G For quite a few years now, rumours have been abound of Toyota planning a replacement for the much loved AE86 Sprinter/Trueno. Now thanks to Toyota's ties to Subaru (Toyota owns 8.7% of Subaru's parent, Fuji Heavy Industries), it appears that this may finally happen.

One of the issues that has previously hindered Toyota's attempts to create a successor to the AE86 has been the lack of an affordable RWD platform. Now thanks to their tie-up with Subaru, the cost can be spread between the two companies, with each producing their own vehicle on the platform. From this deal, Toyota would get it's desired AE86 successor and Subaru could create a sportscar to fill a gap in it's range.W'B'Pm o1}c4g-O

}\#[!{#Q-jQ^z According to All About Auto ([url]http://www.allaboutauto.us/2007/08/10/REPO...10_release.html[/url]), a new AE86 would be powered by a Subaru-sourced engine of 2.0L or less. CarUpdate ([url]http://www.carupdate.com.au/2125/toyota-ae...9-to-be-reborn/[/url]) claims that the Impreza platform would be used with a weight target of below 1,100kg and plans for a horizontally opposed engine of 1.5L. This would all make sense, as Subaru sell a 1.5L EJ15 powered version of the Impreza in the European market. Assuming the same tune as the 1.5L Impreza, a new AE86 would have 107hp (79kW) and 142Nm, which is VERY close to the outputs of the original 4A-GE powered AE86. With a kerb weight of 1,100kg though, the new AE86 would be approximately 130kg heavier than the 1980's version, resulting in a power-to-weight ratio of only 71.8kW/tonne vs. 93.8kW/tonne for the 1980's version.

However, the 1980's version of the AE86 was available with two different engine options: the 4A-C or the 4A-GE. The 4A-C version only had 58kW and 127Nm, whilst the 4A-GE powered variant had a much stronger 91kW and 145Nm. Presumably if Toyota were to use the EJ15 in the new Sprinter, it would be to power the basic version, whilst an engine as big as the EJ20 could be used for the top-of-the-line model. In the Australian market Impreza, the EJ20 puts out 110kW and 192Nm. Assuming Toyota can bring the basic Sprinter in at under 1,100kg, let us assume a 1,150kg kerb weight for 2.0L version with all the extras that would encompass, and the resulting power-to-weight ratio is a much healthier 95.6kW/tonne. This compares well with the 1980's car, and one would assume that with double-wishbone suspension as is standard on the Impreza, it would have excellent handling too. The new Sprinter would be a close competitor to the current Mazda MX5, which may be a vehicle that Toyota are targetting.

5]jQI+d F.@6_ The really exciting idea is the prospect of a turbocharged Subaru motor in a new Sprinter. The turbocharged EJ20, when last available in Australia in the WRX produced 168kW and 300Nm. Assuming a high kerb weight of 1,250kg, a Sprinter turbo could potentially have a power-to-weight ratio of 134.4kW/tonne. This is an EXTREMELY conservative estimate, but would still see a vehicle that should prove exceedingly quick... if it gets built. And don't even mention a Sprinter STi.-~\9[Q%p.E

g XU(h3Y NOTE: If Toyota do release a new RWD Sprinter or Trueno model, it will NOT have the model code AE86. I have only referred to the potential new model as 'a new AE86' for simplicity. It is unlikely that any part of the AE86 model code would carry over, as A-series engines won't be used. The E-series chassis is that of the Corolla, so the Subaru chassis would presumably receive a different Toyota code. And the number on the end would presumably be a higher number. The last Sprinter/Trueno available was the AE111 series. There is also a chance that Toyota would restart the sequence due to the vast number of changes between series.

真车图最近已经出来了,其实那根本不是AE86,是丰田借热重炒的一个商业造势手段,那辆车根本就是一辆赛利卡和雷克萨斯LFA的混合物,无论理念和形神,都完全和AE86不沾边,就只是命名为FT86借了那两字混淆视听而已,根本不是所谓新款86,更不是复活86,骗那些不懂真相又盲目追求的车迷,要是大家真的那么喜欢86这两个字,或者86这两个字可以让车子销量骤增的话又可以让大家莫名其妙地开心,丰田还可以把以后每辆新车都加上86两个字呢,这些都是无所谓的,企业只是讲求商业利益,永不会感情用事,但是车主自己买回来的不是心目中追求的车就是冤大头了。

2.0L排量才200匹,这比10多年前的ALTEZZA还差,ALTEZZA的4缸机器在日本是210匹。anH1|$`r%o$qT-r
更不能比HONDA S2000 2.L 250匹,而且S2000的车身刚性是个很大的亮点。

如今经济不景气,跑车不好卖, Nissan 都说 Silvia/ 200SX 造出来也没人买,所以不做 S16,丰田也是多年都没生产跑车, Honda Integra 也停产了。 省点成本凑和着开吧。

水平对冲发动机重心低啊,重心只有 45 厘米,比Porsche Cayman,Mazda RX-8 都低, 前后轴重量比 54:46,也接近完美。

加速大概在 BMW 320 和 330 之间。
-k}8dG7yq 换一个 STi Turbo 的 320 马力发动机进去应该不难。

200 马力, 1300 Kg, 加速大概 0-100 km/h 7.2 秒,极速大概 225 km/h, 跟 4000 cc 的 Ford Falcon ,3500 cc Nissan Maxima/天籟 或 Toyota Aurion 差不多。
